  • Yes! I believe that love is love and everyone should be able to celebrate their love with a legal marriage.

  • You and your soon-to-be spouse have full creative control of your ceremony. Your input is needed and I welcome any material that inspires you.

  • Yes*, it is very important that your officiant lead the ceremony rehearsal. This is where any last-minute details will be ironed out and where the wedding party will practice entering and exiting the venue.

    *rehearsal is an additional charge with some packages.

  • Yes, I will file the marriage license with the issuing county.

  • In Kansas you will go to your local county district court or you can apply online https://www.kscourts.org/public/apply-for-marriage-license

    In Missouri you can apply online or go in person at the County Recorder of Deeds office. More information. https://www.mo.gov/home-family/marriage-divorce/

  • No, the couple getting married is responsible for applying for and paying for the marriage license. In Kansas the license is $85.50 and there may be a payment processing fee. In Missouri the price can vary by county so be sure to check with the county recorder of deeds office.

  • The timing can vary greatly depending on what elements the couple wants to include. It could be a quick 5 minute no frills elopement or a 30 minute fully customized ceremony with a unity candle. Schedule a free consultation to discuss in more detail.

  • I do not offer proxy weddings at this time.

  • A non-refundable 50% retainer is required to hold your date. The balance of the fee is due 14 days before the scheduled ceremony date.

  • Cancellations must be communicated in writing. If written notice of Cancellation of Services is provided by Client at least fourteen (14) days prior to the Event date, all fees paid in excess of the Retainer will be refunded.

    The full cancellation policy will be in your contract.

  • An officiant will only plan and execute your wedding ceremony. A wedding planner will plan and execute everything else (decorations, reception catering, etc.) for your wedding.

  • I officiated my first ceremony in 2003 for a close friend. I really loved the planning and execution of ceremonies and started doing them here and there for friends and family. I started officiating part-time as my schedule allowed and have now transitioned into full-time officiating.

    My previous day job was in corporate training, so I have over 15 years of public speaking experience. I am not nervous in front of a crowd and will be able to help calm the wedding jitters.

  • I am not religious in the traditional sense. I am more spiritual and respect all faiths and beliefs. I am comfortable performing religious ceremonies, custom ceremonies, and non-traditional ceremonies.

  • Yes, I have two backups that can step in if I am incapacitated. If no one can perform the ceremony I will make every effort to find a suitable replacement at no additional cost.
